Two Of The Three Starters Returned To Practice On Wednesday, Could Detroit Be 100 Percent Come Sunday?

Good news Lions fans, the team is getting healthier. Detroit needs their starters to return as the season finale is upon us and Detroit will need everyone they can to take down the Green Bay Packers. Winning their first division title since 1993. Based off of Wednesdays injury report things are looking up for Detroit, but they still might be short on staff come Sunday night.

Theo Riddck Out, Ziggy Ansah Not Listed On Injury Report

Some good and bad news here. Theo Riddick missed practice again on Wednesday with his wrist injury. The good news is Ziggy Ansah was not listed on the injury report, something we thought we would never see since he said that ankle injury would bother him all year long. Good to see that Ansah is 100 percent, but with Riddick still out that hurts the passing and rushing game.

Travis Swanson And Darius Slay Return In Limited Fashion

After missing three weeks with a concussion, Travis Swanson returned to the practice field. Darius Slay missed last week against Dallas and was practicing as well. Seeing these two starters return to practice is a good sign for the Lions. Helping the secondary and offensive line is exactly what Detroit needs to secure a playoff spot.

Andre Roberts Misses Practice Due To Shoulder Injury

Roberts left the game on Monday with a shoulder injury and it seems to still be bugging him on Wednesday. Losing Roberts would hurt the punt return game, but TJ Jones should be able to take over that role, along with the number four receiver spot. If Roberts can return it would help Detroit, so watch him the rest of the week.

DeAndre Levy Limited

No shocker here, Levy limited again in practice. He has been limited for a few weeks and has been playing. Expect him on the field Sunday night.

Killebrew Unfazed By Eye Injury

Miles Killebrew left the game late on Monday night with an eye injury. Seems like it wasn’t anything major as he was practicing fully, so expect him on the field on Sunday.

Green Bay Packers Injury Report

Green Bay is more banged up than we thought. First off, running back Christine Michael and linebacker Julius Peppers missed practice that wasn’t injury related, so expect them on the field on Sunday. Next, running back James Starks is still dealing with a concussion as he missed practice again on Wednesday, be on the lookout if he returns. Wide receiver Randall Cobb missed practice with an ankle injury as well and if he misses the game on Sunday that would be a big help to the Lions secondary as they would only need to focus on Jordy Nelson. Two offensive lineman were limited in practice though, guard T.J. Lang with a foot injury and guard/center JC Tretter with a knee injury. Finally, the other player who was limited in practice was linebacker Jayrone Elliott.
