Attempting To Guess The Detroit Lions 2017 Schedule

In What May Be One Of The Most Futile Attempts Ever, I Will Try And Guess The Lions Schedule.

Last season, due to a generally weak home schedule for the Lions, it was assumed and assumed correctly that they would host Minnesota in the annual Thanksgiving game. This year, which has more high-profile teams than last especially on the home schedule, creates more possibilities for primetime games.

On the schedule at home this year are the Falcons, Panthers, Steelers, Browns, Cardinals, Vikings, Bears, and Packers. Detroit will be visiting the Saints, Buccaneers, Bengals, Ravens, Giants, Vikings, Bears, and Packers.

Due to the fact that the Lions were a playoff team last year and seem to be on the rise, I expect them to get three to four primetime games including their annual thanksgiving game. Let’s eliminate the teams that the Lions likely won’t play in primetime.

The Lions definitely won’t play the lowly Bears in front of a national audience in their two matchups, and the same goes for the Browns. It’s possible but still unlikely the Lions match up against the Saints, Giants, or Cardinals in primetime.

I think the Lions will play one of their four divisional games against Minnesota and Green Bay in primetime, just figuring out which one will be a complete shot in the dark.
