Gaze Upon the Wonder of Sandman and Tremble!

Since the beginning of time ’twas written in the stones that one day a man would come. Well he has come; his name is Sandman and he has created the definitive highlight package for the Detroit Lions defense in 2015. Very few things will redefine entertainment in a lifetime. This is one of those things. If you can watch this video and not get inappropriately excited for the upcoming season, you are not really a Lions fan. Whether it’s Crezdon Butler going from couch to game saving pass break up in less than a week; Caraun Reid realizing that he’s about to score a touchdown; or Devin Taylor reaching over his blocker to grab Aaron Rogers by the shoulder and drag our nemesis to the ground as though the 300lb impediment to the quarterback were not even there, this immaculate highlight package reminds us all that the Lions defense is a thing to be feared. Every time you watch Aaron Rogers or Russell Wilson hit the turf in this video, remember that one flag unthrown, and another errantly let loose, are all that kept this defense from getting it’s hands on Kirk Cousins in the playoffs last season. Remember that and dream of days to come!

I never get tired of seeing the NFC North Quarterbacks hit the turf, throw interceptions, or fumble, and I suspect that you don’t either. Some time last season I lost faith in the defense, watching a few less than stellar results from the team as a whole put a little tarnish on the bright spots, like Ziggy Ansah being third in the league in sacks, several players literally coming in from the street and playing well in less than a week, and the fact that every one of these highlights were put up without the best player on the Defense in the line up. Sandman as usual keeps the dream alive and has outdone himself this time; I for one couldn’t be happier as I wait with baited breath for the new season to begin.
