Welcome to the Daily DLP. Today Ash Thompson goes through the events that led to the current state of one of the Detroit Lions division rivals, the Chicago Bears. All of it can be linked back to a game between the Seahawks and Packers in 2012.
The Bears have been the worst team in the NFC North since that time, and it is not really even close. One silly decision set the stage for the Chicago Bears to be potentially the worst franchise in football over the intervening 11 seasons. They’ve been in a cycle that they’re about to repeat in the 2024 offseason.
