[460] Lions Off-season Kicks Off – Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff are back with the latest Detroit Lions rumors and news. The Detroit Lions season ended Sunday night with a hug win by the Lions over the Green Bay Packers. This game was the “passing of the NFC North torch” that Chris has been talking about. With that win, the Detroit Lions secured their first winning season since 2017.

Detroit Lions Podcast Wraps Up The Season and Begins Off-season Coverage

The Detroit Lions and Brad Holmes have a lot to build on from the 2022 NFL season. Head Coach Dan Campbell has proven himself a force in the NFL. Criticized early for his clock management and game management mistakes, he has learned, grown and gotten much better in those areas. The Detroit Lions front office, ownership, and fans all seem to be quite happy with the coach that Dan Campbell has quickly grown into.

Additionally, Brad Holmes says he’s happy with Jared Goff and his performance. Quoted as saying, “its a lot easier to get worse at quarterback”, there a number of fans and pundits seem split on whether Goff is “the guy” for the Detroit Lions.  We’ll discuss that on this week’s show.

We’ve seen a huge amount of growth and development from the younger players on the Detroit Lions team as well. We’ll start our discussions regarding the draft and free agency and look at which positions and players the Lions might target. This could be a big year for Brad Holmes and the Detroit Lions personnel. We’ll cover that and a whole lot more – we’ve got a great show, so buckle up!

Speaking of “buckle up”, make sure to head over to our project with Detroit Lions shutdown cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. Its a great opportunity to get some great gear and make a difference in the city we all love.
