Detroit Lions Continue The Hunt In The Offseason

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff are back to discuss the start of the Detroit Lions 2024 offseason. The hunt continues for the Detroit Lions, they made it as far in the playoffs as they ever have in the Super Bowl era. Many fans are beginning the offseason with broken hearts, we begin with pride, joy, and hope. The Detroit Lions may have won the NFC Championship in heartbreaking fashion, but the team is poised to do what they’ve never done before and make a trip to the Super Bowl. They have proven that the Lions front office and Brad Holmes have the ability to evaluate talent, to draft from top to bottom, and to create a plan, stick to it and execute no matter what noise it creates in an ignorant media landscape that’s based on delivering something other than news.

The Detroit Lions proven that Dan Campbell and the coaching staff know how to develop players, and to set them up for success. How to motivate, and get the most out of the Lions, and how to create a culture of winning and brotherhood. The Detroit Lions Players have proven that they know how to play as a team, for each other, how to support and communicate and how to win when the odds are stacked against them. Most of all, they’ve proven that they have grit. Some think that term is a bit played out, but as Peter Drucker said, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” The Detroit Lions are like no other team that has been to the brink and lost. I can’t think of another team that I was so sure would do it again, but next time take it all the way. The Lions organization, to a man, believes the same thing – and THAT is the battle.

Detroit Lions Podcast Shift Into Scouting Gear

The Detroit Lions Podcast spent the week in Mobile, Alabama covering the Senior Bowl again this year. This time landing interviews with 14 different players, many of whom you will see picked in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft this year. These interviews are “must see” for Lions fans wishing to get to know the players and understand if they are made of Detroit Lions material. We’re joined this week by Hula Bowl Scout Ryan Booher to talk about those Senior Bowl players and talk about what an “All Grit” team from the Senior Bowl might look like. Ryan’s expertise will be invaluable for Detroit Lions fans wanting to break out of the 2023 season and begin looking forward to what building the 2024 version of the Detroit Lions looks like.
