Ep: 53 – Detroit Lions Analysis – The Detroit Lions Podcast

In this 53rd episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Case break down the latest and most important Detroit Lions midsummer news. There’s a lot more to talk about than most people think…

During ‘This Week In Reddit’, we spend some time discussing the release of long time fan favorite, Stephen Tulloch.  We go in-depth about the retirements of Lions greats, and Case is determined to go deep with his thoughts about the “Sociology of Football.”  We also talk about Billy Sims and his great career, Aaron Rodgers and the stupid ESPYs, and the ill-advised celebration of the 1991 season.  Chris and Case spend a lot of time in this segment breaking down the various positional strengths and weaknesses for the Lions, and where opportunity might lie for players to break out.

We are also joined by the commissioner of the Detroit Lions Podcast Fantasy Football League, Nathan Cheatham.  Nathan takes some time to explain the rules of our fantasy football league, and how you can join.  There is even a beginner league that folks new to fantasy football can join to learn about the game and get a feel for how things work.

Last but not least, we are joined by ‘The Riz’, Jeff Risdon from SideLionReport.com. We share an announcement about a great collaboration we’ll be doing with Jeff throughout the season and we get a sense about Jeff’s steamy muffins.  We also get some great Lions talk sandwiched in there as well.
