In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris is joined for the entirety of the show by Jeff Risdon as Case has a hot Grindr date to attend to.  It had to be a hot one, because we’re talking about the hire of new Detroit Lions Coach, Matt Patricia and his initial press conference in that role.

Well, it has finally happened. Chris and Case have been talking about Matt Patricia coming to the Lions since almost immediately after the Bob Quinn announcement was made – today the team made the official announcement and had the all-important press conference that goes along with it.

Chris and Jeff take some time to go through the press conference and analyze Coach Patricia’s answers to the barrage of questions he was pelted with. We also spend some time critiquing those questions, because let’s face it, a lot of them were silly.  You wouldn’t know it by Coach Patricia’s answers though, he handled each question as if it were relevant and well-formed and gave some pretty decent answers.  There were some of the standard “no answer” answers as well, but this was nothing like we’ve come to expect from former coach Caldwell or what we’ve observed from the Hoodie back in New England.

Coach Patricia does an excellent job based on the 6 hours he’d had in Detroit at that point, and we include the unedited press conference at the end of the podcast so you can follow it from beginning to end at your leisure.  Enjoy!
