A lot of conversation about coaching changes, the Draft, Senior Bowl, and more. As usual, we go in hot. Oh, and Chris has a beard – we haven’t seen that before. Check out the YouTube channel if you want a peek.

Detroit Lions Podcast Talks Draft Last

There’s a lot to talk about, and a lot of decisions for the Lions ahead of the draft. We decided to cover some of the more pressing topics first. Don’t worry, we’ll give you a good heaping dose of Lions 2020 NFL Draft strategy. In the last portion of the show.

First, Chris takes a rare “I told you so” moment to recount how he predicted Paul Pasqualoni’s departure would go. Of course that leads to a discussion about the Lions strategy around who they want as Defensive Coordinator. Chris asks why everyone thinks that Matt Patricia wants to run the defense. He brings great points about what Patricia might be looking for and why it could be different than the hive mind thinks. This hire will reveal a lot about the Lions organization and the direction the team will head for the 2020 season.

We also look at the rest of the coaching staff, including the possibility of the Lions losing Sean Ryan. The Detroit Lions Podcast also happily announces the promotion of Hank Fraley. He’ll be coaching the offensive line going forward which is a good step for him and the Lions.

We sneak in some big news about the Detroit Lions Podcast garnering a spot on Radio Row at the 2020 Senior Bowl. This means we’ll be conducting a number of player and coaching staff interviews throughout the week. You won’t want to miss any of this, get subscribed to our YouTube channel. Also, click the notification bell so you know exactly who we are interviewing and when. Big names guaranteed and big news will be made, we guarantee it.

  1. The talk about Tua
  2. Trading down, what it means, what’s the chances we do, and who might convince us
  3. What is the thinking if the Lions don’t move away from pick #3

Some big topics, some big names, and some great conversation. We’ve got a lot planned for you as we move forward in the process. We’ll be at the Shrine Bowl, Senior Bowl, and NFL Scouting Combine getting key draft information for Lions fans. We’ve got you covered and will share our analysis as things ebb and flow throughout the process. Also, we haven’t forgotten about Free Agency. Case is working on a huge breakdown for you to help you get a grip on where the Lions might make moves. We’ve got you.
