Just When Detroit Thought They Were Getting Healthier, They Take A Minor Hit On The Report.

Coming off a big divisional win in Green Bay on Monday Night, Detroit seemed to be on the up and up when it came to injuries. While nobody left the game on a cart, things still got worse for the team as they are trying to turn the tide around on the second half of their season.

Luckily they play the Cleveland Browns, and while they are 0-8, they aren’t as horrible as everyone assumes they are. Most people would be ok with some of these players missing this week, but even with this opponent, Detroit needs everybody possible.

Ziggy Ansah and Jalen Reeves-Maybin Not Practicing This Week So Far

Not a good look for Ziggy Ansah as he hasn’t practiced this week yet. Coming off a short week with a game that was on Monday night, Ansah missing practice on Wednesday wasn’t too surprising. But missing practice on Thursday is something to note, and he was listed with a back injury, not his usual knee injury. He could be limited in practice on Friday, but we will see on Friday afternoon.

A new face to the injury report was linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin. He has an ankle injury, and with him missing practice two out of three days isn’t a good sign for him to play, hurting the depth the Lions have at the position.

T.J. Lang and Corey Robinson Have Mixed Reports In Practice

T.J. Lang has had an interesting week. He appeared on the injury report Wednesday with an illness. Thursday comes and it is announced that he is in the concussion protocol. The team announced that after practice on Wednesday they realized he had a concussion. His chances of playing Sunday have gone down substantially, with possibly a former Packer Don Barclay replacing him if needed.

Former starting left tackle Corey Robinson is back in practice, being limited with his ankle injury. Odds are the Lions will stick with Brian Mihalik at left tackle as he has been impressing with his performance the past two weeks.

Don Carey and Kenny Golladay Still Limited In Practice

Like last week, Don Carey was limited and he stays limited again with his knee injury. No real update on if he could play this week, but odds are he could miss again.

Kenny Golladay is still dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that has taken him out for weeks. With no progression in his practice, staying limited and not improving to full participant, Golladay will most likely miss another game.

Cleveland Browns Injury Report

The Browns are like the Lions, as they are recovering from injuries and with many players limited in practice, odds are majority will play. Head Coach Hue Jackson told the media that cornerbacks Jabrill Peppers (toe), Jason McCourty (ankle), and Briean Boddy-Calhoun (hamstring) were all limited in practice, but “all three of these guys have a good chance to play.”

The other players on their injury report that were limited in practice were wide receiver Kenny Britt (knee), defensive lineman Trevon Coley (neck), and defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi (groin). No word on if those players will play, but despite that the Browns have a healthy 53 man team.
