Detroit Lions Podcast Fantasy Football Team Name Award

The DLP staff have been working together since the fantasy football draft to narrow down the 58 team names into the best 12. These 12 team names can be voted on here as many times as you like, for as many teams as you find funny. There is no restriction for how many times you can vote. The link will be shared on our Facebook, Twitter, and r/detroitlions and votes will be tallied until September 23rd. Prizes for the best team names are still being determined.

The team names are based upon what was available right after the draft, if you changed you team name since it hasn’t been updated in this contest. If your former team name is one of the top 12, please contact commissioner Nathan Cheatham at his email and let him know.

Week 2 Game To Get Stock In

Carolina Panthers Vs San Fransisco 49ers – The 49ers blew out the Rams, keeping them from scoring and maintaining a shutout that their city has seen for the last 22 years. Blaine Gabbert threw for 170 yards and a touchdown on Monday night, a very stream worthy quarterback. Also, Carlos Hyde ran for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns and was a top five running back for the first week of fantasy football. The Panthers may not have won their rematch, but Cam Newton was still able to pull off nearly 200 yards passing and scored 2 touchdowns. Kelvin Benjamin had 12 targets, and used them to score a touchdown.

Expect this game to be high scoring. While the 49ers defense posted a shutout, the Rams are already eyeing the 2017 first round pick.
