Ep: 98 – Lions Pounce In Free Agency – The Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris, Case, and Jeff break down the latest and most important Detroit Lions news, including key moves in free agency, they discuss the Lions’ Front Office and their decisions, and go around the division for a look at what the competition is up to, and take a dive on the current state of the team’s salary cap and what they may have left in the tank.

Chris and Case go through This Week In Reddit and discuss the major topics hitting the Lions and their most important fan community. The ongoing discussion of Joe Mixon and second chances comes up for a lengthy discussion, and the boys sing the praises of the ongoing meme parade that is r/detroitlions. Deeper discussions on the coaching staff and front office lead to some opposing viewpoints from the guys and some key points of agreement (*hint* Mayhew wasn’t good).

When Jeff joins the Detroit Lions Podcast for his weekly Risdon’s Wisdom segment, they get down and dirty on the details of each of Detroit’s major free agent signings, taking extra time to discuss the impacts of the offensive line additions. Jeff discuses the possibilities in the RB free agent market, which we all mostly agree, “what’s the point?”, and we take a look at the team’s remaining cap space; how much is available and a couple options the Front Office could still pursue.
